How to set up a Front Chat inbox in Front

Front's Chat inbox allows you to live chat with your customers directly from Front so that all customer interactions occur in one place. Front Chat will work for any website and mobile webpage. We do not support mobile apps yet. 

Front Chat can be purchased in addition to your regular Front plan. It can be purchased for only the users that need to reply to messages; other users can comment on, assign, and tag chat messages, but not reply.

Step 1

Go into your Settings, select Inboxes, and Add a team inbox.

Step 2

Select Front Chat.Step 3 

Give your Inbox a name, and click Next.

Step 4

Give your teammates access to the new team inbox, and click Create inbox.

Step 5

Complete your inbox settings. Below is a screen shot of each setting.

Step 6

Click Save. 

Step 7

Grab the code snippet and insert it before the '</body>' tag on your webpage. You will need to do this before messages will start syncing from your webpages with your Chat inbox in Front.
